1. Acceptance
By using the site refrigerationleducetfils.ca and interacting with us (form, phone, email), you accept these terms.
2. Our role as distributor
Leduc & Fils is the official ATC distributor for Quebec since 1994. ATC is the manufacturer and owner of the transport refrigeration units. As a distributor, we sell, install, calibrate, maintain, and repair ATC equipment. We are not the manufacturer.
3. Quotes and pricing
Posted or verbal prices are indicative. A signed written quote constitutes our firm offer. Quotes are valid for 30 days.
Prices vary by ATC model, vehicle format, accessories, and installation complexity. Taxes (GST, QST) apply.
4. ATC product warranty
ATC products are covered by the ATC factory warranty — not by Leduc & Fils. Duration and coverage vary by component. We handle warranty claims with ATC on your behalf at no extra administrative cost. Keep your invoice and the unit's serial number.
5. Installation and maintenance
Installation by our team or our authorized network is required to preserve the ATC warranty. Third-party unauthorized installs may void coverage.
Preventive-maintenance packages available on request — recommended for fleets operating 12 months a year.
6. Temperature calibration
Factory calibration + on-vehicle calibration at delivery are included, with a logbook handed to the client. For GxP applications (pharma, laboratories), we offer certified annual calibration compliant with your sector's regulatory requirements.
7. Payment and lead times
Terms: credit card, wire, or net-30 commercial account for established clients. Deposit required for special orders.
ATC lead time: 4 to 8 weeks by model. Installation: 2 to 4 business days from unit receipt. For emergencies (breakdown replacement), in-stock units available.
8. Cancellation and returns
Standard orders may be cancelled at no cost up to 5 business days before installation. Beyond that, fees of 15% of the quote may apply.
Special orders (imported models or custom configurations) are not refundable once the order has been placed with ATC.
9. 24/7 emergency service
Our (514) 331-4441 line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for in-transit unit failures or peak-season breakdowns.
Emergency calls outside business hours are billed at the rapid- intervention rate (quote provided before dispatch). Phone diagnosis is free.
10. Force majeure
We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control: storms, ATC supply disruptions, strikes, government closures, force majeure.
11. Limitation of liability
Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the product or service at issue. We are not responsible for indirect damages, lost revenue, lost cargo, or other commercial consequences from the use of our products.
This limitation does not apply to bodily injury resulting from our negligence or where it would be unlawful.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and federal Canadian law as applicable in Quebec. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Montreal judicial district.
